Competitive candidates will have one or more of the following criteria:
• Bachelor of Arts in Business, Marketing, or Hospitality and Tourism
OR
• 3 years experience working in tourism marketing, and/or hospitality planning and project implementation
OR
• Experience conducting training/workshops or developing training materials for community based tourism promotion
OR
• Digital marketing skills, and community based tourism promotion

Proven experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies for tourism destinations or hospitality businesses.
Strong digital marketing skills, including social media management, content marketing, email marketing, search engine optimization, online campaign management, and analytics tools.
Ability to develop branding and storytelling strategies for destinations or products.
Volunteers live primarily in independent apartments but may live with a host family if indicated and discussed ahead of time. Housing is located near the work site, but Volunteers should be aware that rush-hour commutes can take up to an hour.

Conduct a marketing needs assessment and analyze current promotional activities.
Develop a comprehensive marketing and communication strategy.
Create or improve digital marketing campaigns, including social media, website content, and newsletters.
Develop branding and storytelling guidelines for tourist destinations in Moldova.
Organize and deliver training workshops for local tourism stakeholders.
Establish monitoring and evaluation tools to track marketing performance.
Provide recommendations for partnerships and international promotion opportunities
You may also work on additional projects that meet community interests and priorities, such as an English club.
After a two-week orientation, you will move to the capital city where you will collaborate with the National Tourism Moldova office. You will work with the partner to assess their needs and develop a work plan in line with their established goals.
Peace Corps/Moldova will equip you with basic Romanian language skills and you may work with a local tutor who can continue building language skills to help you connect with the community.
Apply your marketing expertise to tell Moldova’s story and attract tourists to the “hidden gem” of Europe.
Learn basic Romanian phrases and practice communicating with colleagues and community members.
Gain a deeper understanding of Moldova’s rich culture in person.
Only heterosexual couples can be accepted for this program.
Each person must apply separately and must qualify for a position in either the same or a different sector than their partner.
Couples will live together during training but may separate occasionally for field-based activities.
Cohabitating couples are highly encouraged to present themselves as married throughout service due to cultural expectations.
