Job Description

As a Tour Guide at Belmond, you will be the key ambassador for our extraordinary travel experiences, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable and enriching journey. You will lead personalized tours, sharing engaging stories and insights about the destinations, while also tailoring your approach to meet the specific interests and needs of each group. Your passion for hospitality, in-depth knowledge of the local culture, and exceptional communication skills will contribute to the overall guest experience, fostering a connection between our guests and the unique environments they explore.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conducting informative and engaging tours that highlight the unique features of the destination.
  • Providing guests with insights into local culture, history, and traditions, ensuring an immersive experience.
  • Adapting tours to cater to the interests and preferences of various group sizes and demographics.
  • Ensuring guest safety and comfort during excursions and providing exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with local suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Preparing necessary materials, such as brochures or presentations, to enhance the tour experience.
  • Gathering and sharing guest feedback to contribute to the continuous improvement of our tours and services.

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Driving license (driving a van)
  • Experience as a tour guide or in a relevant role within the hospitality or tourism sector.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • In-depth knowledge of the local area, including history, culture, and attractions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage different groups effectively.
  • Passion for travel and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
