Primary Objective
The Total Rewards Specialist supports the development, administration, and analysis of compensation and benefits programs across CEENTA. Conduct job evaluations and market pricing to provide pay recommendations. Develop compensation philosophies, design salary structures, build job architecture frameworks, and draft pay practice guidelines to support equitable, competitive, and scalable total rewards strategies aligned with organizational goals. Conduct formal assessments of job roles to determine appropriate Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) exemption classifications, focused on compliance with federal wage and hour regulations.
Essential Functions
Benefits:
Responds expeditiously to benefit inquiries from employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, leave of absence inquiries, status changes, and other general inquiries.
Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of all benefits enrollments and data transmission to vendors.
Provides creative ways to update and educate employees on health and welfare programs and areas including the development of employee communications, website content, and ideas to improve employee knowledge and engagement.
Prepares schedules and materials for the annual open enrollment process and helps deliver open enrollment meetings.
Communicates LOA related changes to payroll department to ensure accurate pay for employees in a timely manner.
Maintains complete and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirements and best practices documentation.
Performs data integrity and compliance audits of benefits and leave of absence data as well as invoice reconciliation.
Provides necessary benefits and leave of absence reports as needed.
Compensation:
Conduct market pricing and benchmarking for clinical, administrative, and leadership positions using healthcare-specific survey data.
Support annual compensation reviews, merit and incentive programs, and physician/non-physician pay structures.
Evaluate internal equity, FLSA classifications, and job structures to maintain fair and compliant pay practices.
Develop and maintain salary ranges and job descriptions in collaboration with Executive Team.
Provide analytical support for compensation modeling, pay adjustments, and reclassification requests.
Analytics and Reporting
Develop and maintain total rewards dashboards and reports, providing insights on turnover, pay competitiveness, and benefits cost trends.
Conduct pay equity and workforce analytics to support HR strategy and compliance goals.
Ensure data integrity and consistency across HRIS, compensation, and benefits systems.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including FLSA, ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and Joint Commission standards.
Participate in audits and prepare required documentation for internal and external reviews.
Maintain confidentiality of employee and organizational information at all times.
Skills and Abilities
Excellent verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal/customer service skills.
Familiarity with healthcare compensation benchmarking and market survey data.
Exceptional time management and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations and policies.

Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices and the administrative practices related to workforce management.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS. Must have proven advanced Excel skills.

Training Period

Education
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Experience
5 years of experience in total rewards, compensation, benefits, or HR analytics within a healthcare environment preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
SHRM-CP, CEBS, or CCP required

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full-time (Core business hours Monday through Friday). Additional evening/weekend hours may be required.
