JOB SUMMARY

This is a senior-level, individual-contributor total rewards position responsible for the design, administration, and governance of the Company's compensation, benefits, and performance programs across its multi-state U.S. workforce. This role owns group health and welfare benefits, the 401(k)-retirement program, compensation structure and market pricing, the year-end merit cycle, incentive plan management, and the year-end performance review process end to end. The position requires close partnership with Finance, Payroll, and HR leadership, and plays a critical role in ensuring total rewards programs remain competitive, compliant, and consistently administered across a multi-state, multi-site corporate population.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the design, administration, and vendor management of group health and welfare benefit plans, including annual renewal strategy, plan changes, and open enrollment.
  • Own all leave of absence administration in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Own the 401(k)-retirement plan, including vendor and recordkeeper management, plan design, compliance testing, and employee education.
  • Own the Company's compensation structure, including salary bands, job leveling, and market pricing/benchmarking across all functions and locations.
  • Lead the annual year-end merit increase process end to end, including budget modeling, manager guidance, and system administration.
  • Own incentive plan design and administration, including annual bonus and other variable pay programs.
  • Own the year-end performance review process, including cycle design, manager and employee communication, and system administration.
  • Ensure compensation and benefits programs comply with applicable multi-state wage, hour, ERISA, ACA, and pay equity requirements.
  • Manage broker, carrier, and vendor relationships for all benefits and retirement programs, driving competitive renewals and service accountability.
  • Partner with Finance and Payroll on total rewards budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation
  • Provide compensation analysis and recommendations for new hires, promotions, internal equity, and market adjustments.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on total rewards during acquisition integration, supporting compensation and benefits harmonization as the Company grows.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits or total rewards, including direct ownership of health & welfare benefits, retirement plans, and compensation programs.
  • Experience supporting a multi-state, multi-site workforce; background in agriculture, warehouse/distribution, fulfillment center, or similar operational environment within a corporate structure strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ERISA, ACA, FLSA, and multi-state compliance requirements as they apply to compensation and benefits administration.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a merit cycle and administering incentive/bonus plans from design through payout.
  • Experience owning or administering a formal performance review process.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using compensation benchmarking and market pricing tools.
  • HRIS experience required; Workday experience strongly preferred.
  • CCP, CEBS, or SHRM-CP/SCP certification a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex compensation and benefits concepts for employees and leadership across a multi-state organization.

Salary: $103,300 - $129,000/year
