Total Product Support Engineer – Semiconductor ALD

Beneq is looking for a Total Product Support Engineer to join our Semiconductor ALD Business Unit in a global role supporting semiconductor customers worldwide.

In this role, you’ll become one of Beneq’s key technical experts, helping customers and field teams solve challenging equipment and process issues while driving continuous product improvement together with R&D and Product Management.

This is a highly visible role combining hands-on troubleshooting, customer interaction, and product development collaboration. You’ll work closely with cutting-edge ALD technology, international customers, and multidisciplinary teams - making a direct impact on product performance and customer success globally.

Your Role

As a Total Product Support Engineer, you will support Beneq’s Semiconductor ALD products throughout their lifecycle - from field issue resolution to continuous product improvement and future product development support.

You’ll work closely with customers, Field Service Teams, Product Management, R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure our products deliver high performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction worldwide.

This role combines technical expertise, analytical problem-solving, and customer collaboration in an international environment. The position includes global travel to customer sites and Beneq locations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Act as a technical expert supporting customers, field service engineers, and internal teams

  • Diagnose and resolve complex equipment and process-related issues remotely and on-site

  • Lead and support root cause analysis and product reliability improvement activities

  • Collect and analyze customer and field feedback to identify improvement opportunities

  • Collaborate with R&D and Product Management to enhance product performance and serviceability

  • Participate in failure analysis, FMEA, and corrective action activities

  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and service readiness

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and training materials

  • Deliver technical support and training for internal teams and customers

  • Support technical discussions, demonstrations, and customer interactions when needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, chemical, electrical, automation engineering, or another relevant technical field

  • Experience in semiconductor equipment, semiconductor processes, or related high-tech industries

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Customer-focused mindset with a proactive and structured approach to technical challenges

  • Excellent English language skills

  • Willingness to travel globally approximately 70 days per year, including longer customer site visits when needed

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ALD or other semiconductor deposition technologies

  • Experience in product support, field service, equipment troubleshooting, or process engineering

  • Familiarity with FMEA, FTA, Ishikawa diagrams, or other quality and reliability tools

  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes

  • Experience with PLM systems, ERP/CRM tools, or technical documentation practices

  • Chinese language skills
