Job Description

  • Oxy-Acetylene Torch Brazer experienced in stainless steel aircraft parts.
  • Reading blueprints or technical schematics. Strong attention to detail to ensure the quality of each weld and the safety of the workplace.
  • Use torch brazing equipment as part of the fabrication process.
  • Measure and align workpieces using straightedges, clamps, and calipers.
  • Ensure compliance with established health/safety policies and regulations.
  • Carry out grinding and thermal cutting operations to obtain various textures and sizes for metal parts.
  • Operate power and hand tools such as arc welders, buffing machine, and scrapers.
  • Maintain good working knowledge of the welding characteristics of metals such as stainless steel, and Inconel.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, schematics, and codes.

Requirements

  • Must be able to be fitted for a full and or partial face respirator
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Microsoft Office skills
