Position Purpose: Maintain all tooling and support production with mold repair/maintenance operations

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, as well as standard work procedures.
  • Interact with engineering, production, and tooling staff when troubleshooting molds.
  • Identify solutions to complex molding and mold problems as they pertain to injection molding manufacturing.
  • Create work orders for service of all molds and maintain records as required.
  • Coordinate the implementation of solutions for needed repairs.
  • Verify molds are production ready; advise production and engineering of condition of molds.
  • Train others on operation of equipment in the Tool Repair department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in mold making, mold design, and/or mold processes strongly preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Microsoft Office and Engineering software computer skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Works in a clean manufacturing and warehouse environment that includes moderate to high noise levels.
