Your Job:

As a Tooling Supervisor, you will lead, coordinate, and develop the Tooling team to ensure the availability, reliability, and continuous improvement of tooling, fixtures, molds, devices, and auxiliary production equipment. In this role, you will drive key objectives related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance while supporting operational excellence across the manufacturing environment.

Our Team:

You will be part of the Connectivity division in Guadalajara, working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Purchasing, and Warehousing teams. The team is focused on maintaining reliable tooling systems, supporting manufacturing operations, and driving continuous improvement through collaboration, safety, and operational discipline.

What You Will Do:

• Lead and oversee daily operations of the Tooling department to support manufacturing performance and business objectives.
• Ensure the effective execution of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs for tooling and auxiliary production equipment.
• Coordinate the fabrication, repair, modification, and validation of tooling solutions.
• Manage department resources and establish priorities based on operational requirements.
• Drive root cause analysis efforts and corrective actions related to critical equipment failures.
• Monitor performance indicators and lead initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvement.
• Support and promote TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S practices throughout the operation.
• Develop training plans, staffing coverage strategies, and professional growth opportunities for technical personnel.
• Manage tooling budgets, inventory, critical spare parts, and supplier relationships.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):

• Degree in Electrotechnical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• English proficiency at B2 level.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising tooling maintenance activities.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance practices for tooling, fixtures, molds, devices, and auxiliary production equipment.
• Experience with Health, Safety, Environmental, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and restoring equipment following breakdowns.
• Proficiency working in 5S environments.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.

What Will Put You Ahead:

• Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of quality tools such as stratification, histograms, check sheets, and Pareto charts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, problem solving, and equipment performance optimization.
• Knowledge of Mexican health, safety, energy, and environmental standards, including environmental aspects and impacts.
