The Tooling Stress Engineer I supports the design and validation of manufacturing tools, jigs, and fixtures byassistingin structural analysis to ensure safety and operational integrity. This entry-level role involves performing static, stability, and lifting analyses on ground support equipment (GSE) and assembly tooling, applying foundational engineering principles to ensure tools can safely support and manipulate aerospace flight hardware.
Under the direct supervision of senior engineers, the candidate will contribute to the resolution of technical challenges related to tool deflection, load paths, and materialselection The engineer in this role adheres toestablishedindustry safety standards (such as ASME or OSHA), internal tooling procedures, and documentation practices while developing specialized analytical skills in a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing environment.
Investigate design improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives related to airframe structures and engineering processes.
Support the design and validation of manufacturing tools, jigs, and fixtures through structural analysis activities.
Assistin performing static, stability, and lifting analyses for ground support equipment (GSE) and assembly tooling to ensure safety and operational integrity.
Collaborate with senior engineers in resolving technical challenges related to load paths, tool deflection, and materialselection
Support the development and validation of engineering documentation, analytical reports, and calculations in compliance with industry and internal standards.
Work closely with cross-functional and international teams in a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment.
1 year of experience in structural analysis, specifically focused on tooling stress and ground support equipment.
Understanding of load paths and failure modes.
Technical writing and PC skills withproficiencyin Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with FEM tools and analysis software such as Nastran/Patran,Hypermesh, ANSYS, and hand calculations.
Experience using and validating software and continuous improvement tools to solve problems.
Verbal and written communication skills in English.
Current travel visa to enter the United States
Develop automated scripts (e.g., Python, Macros) to drive Continuous Improvement and eliminate human error.
Ability to express problems, issues, and opportunities clearly to peers and supervision.
Awareness of assigned tasks and activities related to product metrics.
Communication and presentation skills with the ability to work collaboratively with international teams.
