Objective of the position:
Lead and develop the Tooling Team responsible for managing DTNA-owned tooling assets at supplier facilities. Ensure tooling programs are executed effectively by driving supplier performance, cost optimization, asset stewardship, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration. The role is accountable for supporting program launches, maintaining production readiness, and maximizing the value of DTNA's tooling investments through strategic sourcing, governance, and continuous improvement.

Main Functions:

- Lead the Tooling team in the development and execution of tooling strategies that optimize cost, quality, manufacturability, supplier performance, and product design outcomes.

-Oversee tooling planning and program execution, including the evaluation of product designs, manufacturing processes, supplier capabilities, tooling cost estimates, timing assessments, and project feasibility.

-Manage tooling activities across cross-functional teams, providing leadership, direction, risk management, and executive-level communication to support successful program launches and production readiness.

-Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and suppliers to ensure design data integrity, tooling readiness, issue resolution, and achievement of business objectives.

-Support supplier tooling sourcing and asset management strategies, including supplier selection, portfolio development, audits, capacity assessments, tooling transfers, and performance improvement initiatives.

-Establish and govern tooling standards, specifications, best practices, and approval processes to drive consistency, quality, compliance, and operational excellence across the organization.

-Lead tooling investment and financial management activities, including cost target development, competitive quote analysis, value engineering, budgeting, and optimization of DTNA-owned tooling assets.

-Develop team capability and drive continuous improvement by mentoring personnel, enhancing business processes, mitigating tooling-related risks, and reporting program status, financial performance, and key metrics to leadership.
