The Role
We are hiring a Toolchain Integrator / Librarian to own and streamline the EDA/PCB design tool ecosystem that powers our accelerator board development. You will be responsible for maintaining our schematic/PCB tool flows, managing libraries and PDKs, and enabling a smooth, consistent environment for our hardware engineers.
This role sits at the intersection of CAD/EDA, infrastructure, and hardware design and is critical to scaling our engineering productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Own the PCB/EDA toolchain across schematic capture, PCB layout, SI/PI/thermal simulation, and MCAD collaboration.
Manage and maintain component libraries
Symbols, footprints, 3D models, parameters, lifecycle, and compliance data
Ensure alignment between ECAD and MCAD representations
Define and enforce library and design standards, naming conventions, and version control best practices.
Integrate EDA tools with PLM, revision control (e.g., Git/Perforce), and build systems as needed.
Work with IT/infrastructure teams to manage licenses, installations, and upgrades for EDA tools.
Support engineers with tool flows, scripts, and automation to improve productivity (e.g., BoM generation, DRC checks, documentation).
Assist in design data management
Project templates, release checklists, DFM/DFT rule decks, fabrication/assembly outputs
Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to evaluate and deploy new EDA capabilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of experience working with PCB/EDA tools in a hardware design environment.
Hands‑on experience with at least one major EDA suite (e.g., Siemens Xpedition (preferred), Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, Siemens PADS, Altium Designer, or similar).
Familiarity with symbol/footprint creation, padstack definitions, and 3D models.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN, Perforce).
Strong scripting or programming skills (e.g., Python, TCL, shell) for tool integration and automation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a data center, networking, or semiconductor hardware company.
Familiarity with SI/PI, thermal, and mechanical co‑design flows
Basic knowledge in integrating simulation tools (SI/PI/thermal).
Background with PLM systems and release management processes.
Experience defining and maintaining corporate design standards and checklists.
Strong communication skills and a service‑oriented mindset towards enabling hardware design teams.
