CROWN Hellas Can Packaging SA is seeking a dedicated Toolcare Technician to maintain, repair, and calibrate tooling used in our manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
* Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning, and repair of various manufacturing tools, dies, and molds.
* Inspect tooling for wear, damage, and defects, and determine appropriate corrective actions.
* Execute precision adjustments and calibrations to tooling to meet exact specifications.
* Utilize manual and power tools, as well as precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
* Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately in maintenance logs and systems.
* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot tooling-related issues and implement improvements.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while performing duties.
* Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
* Assist in the procurement and inventory management of spare parts and new tooling components.
* Provide technical support and guidance to production operators regarding tool usage and basic maintenance.
Job Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in mechanics, machining, or a related field is highly preferred.
* Proven experience (2+ years) in tool maintenance, repair, or a similar technical role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of precision machinery.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
* Familiarity with various types of tooling used in can packaging or similar metal forming industries is a plus.
* Ability to use a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment accurately.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Physical ability to lift moderate weights, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
