Job Description

The Tool Technician Iunder strict supervision, performs maintenance functions such as repairs on down-hole tools, surface equipment and other production equipment in the application for down-hole tools.

  • Pay Rate: Up to $17.00/hour, depending on experience.
  • Assignment Length: 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
  • Shift Details: 40-hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and disassemble down-hole tools, surface equipment, and various production components.
  • Perform manual, repetitive tasks including cabling, basic equipment maintenance, and mechanical assembly/disassembly.
  • Manage real-time inventory updates and maintain highly organized supply stores.
  • Ensure all units are cleaned, fully restocked, and prepared for immediate operational use.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in a mechanical, electrical, or industrial environment.
  • Experience performing manual, repetitive work such as assembly, disassembly, cabling, and basic equipment maintenance preferred.
  • Prior oilfield, wireline, or tool shop experience is an asset but not required.
  • Mechanical & Electrical Aptitude.
  • Attention to Detail & Quality Discipline .
  • Comfortable working outside, cleaning equipment, updating inventories, restocking units.
  • Machinery/tools used: Hand tools, pressure washers, meters.
