Job Description

Essential Functions/Key Deliverables

  • Collect, compile, measure, summarize and record data gathered during measuring.
  • Calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment in order to ensure compliance with published specification.
  • Inspect and evaluate tools to identify defects.
  • Track and report tool life and cost based on consumption and production records.
  • Perform laboratory housekeeping.
  • Maintain laboratory recognition / accreditation.
  • Issue and keep record of exchanging tools.
  • Co-operate with Production Department to optimize tooling consumption, spoilage reduction and technical support.
  • Monitor the quantity and quality parameters dependent on the condition of tools, report low stock to principals.
  • Maintain required tool stock levels, manage the tools rotation and supervise polishing.
  • Collect and archive technical parameters.
  • Review tools about quality; license for production.
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of systems, including performing internal audits as required.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety regulations, rules, procedures and policies. Comply with all environmental requirements as stipulated in ISO and SQF procedures and guidelines on Health & Safety.
  • Perform any other duty reasonable corresponding with the role.

  • Knowledge of technical drawing
  • Ability to set up and operate various metalworking machinery such as lathes, mills, drills, and precision grinding machines.
  • Ability to hold tight tolerances of .0001”
