Working hours:
Monday - Friday: 5:30am - 3:30pm (Weekends as needed)
Overall Responsibilities: The Tool Room Lead is responsible for coordinating daily maintenance and parts room operations, including inventory management, parts procurement, work orders, shipping and receiving, and supporting maintenance personnel. Ensures accurate records, timely availability of parts and supplies, effective communication, and a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Essential Job Functions:
· Demonstrate computer proficiency and effectively operate standard office equipment.
· Dispatch maintenance personnel and coordinate service requests as needed.
· Maintain accurate inventory of parts, supplies, and materials.
· Collect, document, and communicate information between shifts to ensure continuity of operations.
· Set up and maintain new inventory items within the inventory management system.
· Provide administrative and operational support to the Maintenance Manager.
· Collaborate closely with the Purchasing Lead to support inventory management and assist with audit processes.
· Support Lead Specialists with inventory-related activities, address concerns, and facilitate effective communication.
· Assist technicians in locating and obtaining required parts and supplies.
· Maintain accurate physical locations and organization of all parts and inventory.
· Issue parts and supplies to employees through the customer service window.
· Process inventory and purchase order adjustments accurately and in a timely manner.
· Maintain and record inventory checkout documentation.
· Enter, update, and maintain maintenance work orders.
· Review and close completed work orders in accordance with established procedures.
· Receive, inspect, and properly process incoming parts and materials.
· Obtain and compare vendor quotations for parts and materials.
· Update work orders with parts availability, delivery, and shipment information.
· Coordinate outgoing shipments, including UPS and other designated carriers.
· Respond appropriately to plant emergencies and follow established emergency procedures.
· Pick up and transport parts and materials from local vendors as required.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
· Conduct and document physical inventory counts.
· Lead and actively participate in daily team meetings.
· Supervise the daily work activities of Tool/Parts Room Attendants
· Participate in employee performance reviews and progressive disciplinary actions
· Maintain daily timecard for team members
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Position Requirements

· Complete all LMS training as assigned
· Complete 5S checklist
· Follow SOP/SPL in each area
· May be required to handle hazardous materials

Qualifications:
· Intermediate Math Skills
· Intermediate Computer Skills
· Knowledge and understanding of measurements and materials
· Basic knowledge of industrial parts
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Maintain a high degree of accuracy
· Ability to multi-task
