We are currently seeking a Tool Room Associate II to join our team in Batesville, IN.

Your Role at Batesville:

As a Tool Room Associate II, you will be responsible for supporting operations with the upkeep and maintenance of the tooling machines, as well as build parts and equipment, weld tooling, gauges, fixtures and dies.

• The expected base salary range for this role is $62,116 - $77, 646 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, skills, experience, and location.

What You’ll Do:

• Verifies conformance of parts to detailed drawings.
• Verifies alignment and tolerances of moving parts.
• Tests operation of assembly by hand.
• Assembles, sets up, and operates machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer's specifications.
• Support operations by designing and building parts, equipment, weld tooling, gauges, fixtures, etc.
• Troubleshoot and repair tooling, gauges, fixtures, etc.
• Communicate with management, engineers, technicians, and production personnel.
• Direct and/or participate in lean manufacturing projects for improvement in quality, cost and delivery.
• Sharpening of drill bits and other perishable tooling to support production needs.
• Responsible for inventory of perishable tooling.
• Other duties may be assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 7 or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated learning agility.
• Excellent understanding of machining processes and safety controls.

Nice to Haves:

• Proficiency with AutoCAD is strongly preferred.
