Job Description

Job Title: Tool Room Attendant (3rd shift: 8pm – 5am)

Company: Aisin Automotive Casting Tennessee

Department: Production Engineering

Location: Clinton, Tennessee (AACT)

Position Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

· Set-up of cutting tools for the machining lines following tool setup instructions written in English.

· Using Zoller presetter equipment to measure tool offset & runout.

· Receiving / Inventory of cutting tool components.

· Recording cutting tool data from kanban to database.

· Collecting used tools from the lines for reload & returning reloaded tooling back to lineside storage cabinets.

· Packaging and shipment of used tools to be sent out for reconditioning.

· Maintaining 3-pillar and 5-S standards of tool room area and lineside storage cabinets.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Abilities

Essential Skills and Experience:

· Ability to read and follow written instructions in English.

· Ability to perform basic computer operations.

· Experience with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and Microsoft Outlook.

· Ability to understand metric measuring system, down to the micron level.

Beneficial Skills and Experience

· Knowledge of Microsoft Access.

· Experience with Zoller presetting equipment.

· Ability to read and understand 2-D drawings of tool assemblies.

· Experience disassembling, inspecting and reassembling cutting tools.

Education/Training/Certifications

· High school degree required.

· Some college, or Associates degree in technical field preferred.

Travel Requirements

· Travel requirement for this position is minimal, and basically for travel to training classes for this field.
