Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:00pm

This position will train on 1st shift before moving to second shift.

Position Summary

The Tool Room Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and inspecting tooling, extrusion dies, and related equipment to ensure they remain in good working condition. This role supports Design Engineers with new tool preparation, assists with line setup and teardown, and provides general maintenance and production support as needed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Tooling Maintenance and Cleaning

• Polish and clean extrusion dies, calibrators, and related equipment.
• Inspect dies, calibrators, and related equipment for wear or damage and report findings to Design Engineers.
• Maintain an organized and clean Tool Room with all equipment stored properly.

1. Equipment and Inventory

• Test and repair heaters, heater cords, and thermocouples.
• Maintain inventory levels of heaters, cords, thermocouples, and extrusion-related supplies (bolts, fittings, sandpaper, lubrication products, polishing tools, etc.).

1. Production and Maintenance Support

• Assist with line setup and teardown as required.
• Provide support for production activities, including secondary processes such as cutting, punching, packing, and inspecting parts.
• Assist with R&D functions and material grinding as needed.
• Pick up and deliver supplies and parts from suppliers or customers.

1. Safety and Compliance

• Follow all company safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
• Maintain compliance with quality standards in all assigned tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of factory or manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to read and follow instructions, technical documents, and safety guidelines.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Physical Demands

This position requires light to moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Regularly requires standing, sitting, reaching, and moving about the facility. Eye, ear, and footwear protection are required in designated areas.
