What You’ll Do

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, multi‑axis machines, grinders, EDM, and manual equipment to optimize performance and minimize downtime
  • Read and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, and advanced GD&T
  • Perform complex offsets, tool compensation, and program adjustments to maintain tight tolerances
  • Manufacture precision components to tolerances of .0001" or better with minimal supervision
  • Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and material issues and implement corrective actions
  • Recommend and execute process, tooling, and programming improvements
  • Partner with Tool Design to develop fixtures, jigs, and custom tooling
  • Conduct in‑process and final inspections using precision measurement equipment
  • Share knowledge and best practices to support team development
  • Adhere to safety, quality, and 5S workplace standards

Required Qualifications

  • AA/AS degree or equivalent technical training with 8+ years of relevant machining experience
  • Advanced expertise in CNC and manual machining and programming
  • Strong working knowledge of GD&T and precision measurement
  • Ability to work independently and resolve complex technical problems
  • High mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience
  • Machining certifications or advanced technical education
  • Tool and die or specialized machining background
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong communication and mentoring skills

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
