Worthington Enterprises is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Tool & Die team on 3rd shift. This individual will be responsible for safely maintaining machine tools, fixtures and dies. In addition, this position supports other facility processes as necessary. Duties include a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to: problem solving, project collaboration, and quality control. The goal is to safely achieve excellence in all facets of the role, providing the highest quality service and safety, while effectively, and efficiently increasing value for our shareholders and customers. A detailed orientated, self-motivated, problem solver that utilizes a strong work ethic for a 300+ union facility in Chilton, WI is required. Pay based on skill and experience for Maintenance Mech 4. What You’ll Do:
Sets up, troubleshoots, and makes advanced adjustments to machines as needed to maintain good production and quality
Knowledge of how to replicate parts with or without blueprints
Participate in continuous improvement projects throughout the facility including various automation projects
Must be proficient with machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, surface grinders
What We’re Looking For:
Blueprint reading skills, math skills, and in-process inspection skills of machine parts to specification while maintaining close tolerances of ±.0005.
Must be able to work independently; will be responsible for specific or cross-functional tasks, based on equipment
Observe and assist in diagnosing machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance production.
Assist in conducting tooling changeovers and troubleshooting press startup and quality specifications.
Participate in try-outs on all new tooling and verify samples meet quality specifications.
The ability to multitask and operate multiple pieces of equipment concurrently
Always maintain all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Strong computer skills
