First Shift Hours are Monday-Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Overtime may adjust start time (e.g., 4:30 AM for extended overtime) and/or extend end time. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.

The Tool Cutter Grinder performsprecision smoothing, sharpening, polishing, or grinding of metal objects.
Essential Functions:
Manufacture cuttingtools to a high quality finish
Perform inspectionof tooling throughout process
Run machine or job unassisted
Check part to print;Make normal machine adjustments
Change wheel/tooling as required
Achieve standard production/quality
Perform operator preventive maintenance andwork area and machine cleaning
Report down machines to supervisor
Perform all set-up operator criteria andproperly train others
Helpto developinstall new processes/methods
Troubleshootprocesses/procedures for better methods/actions
Maintain and adhere to all standard safety protocols (5S)
Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
Minimum Qualifications
Experience3+ yearsof relevant work experience
KnowledgeHighly knowledgeable in various grinding processes, materialsand precision measuring instrumentation;Understanding of geometry/trigonometry;Experience setting up/running toolandcutter grinders
Skills/AbilitiesAbility to read and interpret blue prints and manufacturing outlines;Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and inwriting;Ability to review area workloads, prioritize and assign to teammembers to support area;Be capable of running complete tools from solid carbide rod or high speed steel blanks;Proven ability to work with minimalsupervision and oversight under tight time constraints
EducationCertificationHigh School diploma or equivalent

Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
Flexible and willing to work overtime if necessary

Hourly Range: $38.00 to $50.00. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
