Job Summary:

Issues, receives, and stores hand tools, machine tools, cams, materials, and other equipment in industrial establishment by performing the following duties regularly.

Shift Hours: 6:30am – 3:00pm, Monday – Friday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives, verifies, and records all incoming tools and equipment daily.
  • Generates purchase requisitions for low inventory items and requests items to be reordered based on usage.
  • Reports potentially excessive item usage to department supervisor.
  • Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear and reports damage or wear to supervisors.
  • Issues and receives tools and other equipment to workers.
  • Maintains records of tools and equipment that are issued and returned.
  • Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment while running cycle counts to verify inventory.
  • Prepares monthly reports and distributes them to department supervisor (i.e., inventory evaluation report, usage report, open purchase requisition report, etc.).
  • Identifies, Repairs, services, and lubricates tools and equipment as needed.
  • Identifies and recognizes necessary tooling required using ANSI/ISO Tooling Nomenclature.
  • Completes all related paperwork as required for the job.
  • Delivers tools or equipment to workers when appropriate.
  • Understands and follows Prince Industries quality certifications (i.e., ISO, QS) as relates to position.
  • Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned.
  • Frequently reviews all correspondence (i.e., voice mail messages, emails, faxes, mail) and responds to all requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintains good housekeeping in assigned work area.
  • Additional duties or responsibilities as assigned by department supervisor.

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence in a legible manner.
  • Perform basic shop math calculations.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels within the company.
  • Good computer skills to input data and perform PC inquiry.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within tooling field and related machine operation.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 1-3 years minimum related work experience or formal training

Physical Job Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift, 8-10 hours.
  • Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
  • Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycles work.
  • Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned.

Compensation: $20-24/hr
