The Tool and Die role involves maintaining and repairing dies, embossing rolls, transfer rolls, and calibration equipment for use in production, ensuring tooling is available and up to quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Maintain dies, embossing rolls, transfer rolls and calibration for use in production
- Inspect and repair tooling to ensure quality tooling is available for production
- Perform product changes in accordance with the production schedule
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.
- Performs housekeeping duties in the department to include trash removal.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
- Operate mobile equipment to include boom and scissor lifts.
- Be a contributing member on 5s events as needed.
- Understand and observe all safety rules and initiatives.
- Observe housekeeping throughout the facility.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Attention to detail
- 1 year of Manufacturing experience
- Knowledgeable and could use small hand tools.
- Mechanically inclined.
- Team oriented with a proven safety and attendance record.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Work any shift as needed.
- Familiar with the AMMS system.
- Proficient in operating extrusion lines with a good general understanding of the process.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be willing to work any shifts
- Willingness to learn and operate extrusion machines
