Pay: $18–$20 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Toddler Teacher Assistant – Early Learning Classroom
The Learning Experience – Hell's Kitchen is seeking a caring and dependable Toddler Teacher Assistant to support our toddler classroom. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping young children develop confidence, communication skills, and independence while working alongside an experienced Lead Teacher.
As a Toddler Teacher Assistant, you'll help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom where children learn through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily classroom routines for toddler-aged children
- Support developmentally appropriate learning activities using The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
- Encourage children's language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, transitions, and outdoor play
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow educators
- Observe children's progress and communicate with the Lead Teacher
- Follow all New York State and NYC health, safety, and licensing requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Early childhood education or childcare experience preferred
- Passion for working with toddlers and supporting their development
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, nurturing, and professional approach
- Must meet all New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
