Come join our team! The Goddard School of Stamford is a preschool that opened in May 2023 we are seeking fun, experienced and qualified Toddler teachers. We are specifically looking for teachers who are dependable, highly motivated and meet Connecticut's Early Childhood Teacher requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, nurturing and multi-cultural learning environment
• Design and implement age appropriate play based lesson plans using the Creative Curriculum
• Effectively use positive discipline to manage the classroom
• Plan and implement activities to foster children’s self esteem and social skills and

* Prepare a daily activity report for each child

• Attend faculty meetings, in-service days, conferences and professional growth opportunities
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS

• A High School Diploma is required

* Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or higher in ECE, Elementary Education or Child Development preferred

• A minimum of 1 year of prior experience in a licensed childcare, daycare or preschool is required

SCHEDULE

• The Goddard School of Stamford is open year-round
• Monday-Friday 7am to 6pm (9 hour shift with 1 hour break)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Stamford, CT: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Teaching: 2 years (Preferred)

Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
