Toddler Assistant Teacher - Daycare & Early Childhood Education

Location: The Learning Experience - Meridian, ID

Pay: $16-$18 per hour, based on experience and credentials

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

The Learning Experience - Meridian is seeking a caring and dependable Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to build or continue a career in childcare. You'll work alongside experienced teachers to create a nurturing, engaging classroom where toddlers can explore, build independence, and develop important early skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Lead Teachers with daily Toddler classroom routines and learning activities
• Engage children through play, art, music, movement, sensory activities, and hands-on learning
• Support language development, independence, and positive social interactions
• Assist with meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
• Provide attentive supervision and positive guidance
• Help prepare classroom activities and learning materials
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
• Build positive relationships with children and families
• Collaborate with teachers and center leadership
• Follow Idaho childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous daycare, preschool, childcare, or experience working with children preferred
• Toddler classroom experience is a plus
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
• Patient, dependable, energetic, and team-oriented
• Ability to meet Idaho childcare licensing requirements
