The YMCA Early Learning Program at Millworks (on the waterfront, near downtown) is currently seeking a full time, lead toddler teacher to work in our Toddler 1 classroom with children ages 12-20 months. Our Toddler 1 classroom is home to up to 14 children with 2 staff, plus a bit of support throughout the day. Applicants should have some group experience working alongside infants and toddlers (including managing mealtimes, naptime, diaper changes, and that important transition from infant to toddler). Applicants should be comfortable planning curriculum and doing observational assessments for our youngest learners (we use Creative Curriculum/Teaching Strategies GOLD), directing assistant staff as needed, and positive communication and relationship building with parents in the program who trust us with their children.
