Job Description

The mission of the BCYF Tobin Community Center is to be the social, educational, recreational, and cultural hub of Mission Hill and surrounding neighborhoods, by providing quality programming for children, youth, and families. We value investment in our people, well-maintained facilities, and collaborative efforts in building a sense of community.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Plan and Lead Programs: Develop and implement core and non-core programs and activities for children in a small group setting. - Ensure Safety: Maintain the safety and well-being of all children in the group at all times. - Foster Development: Support the development, growth, and skill achievement of each participant. - Provide Guidance and Support: Offer guidance, encouragement, and support to participants, helping them reach their personal and team goals. - Monitor Behavior: Ensure that children follow camp rules and guidelines, managing behavior in a positive and constructive way. - Maintain Communication: Communicate regularly with campers, their families, and other camp staff to provide updates on progress and any issues. - Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with fellow counselors and camp directors to ensure a positive and efficient camp experience for all involved.
