Our client is a leading global consulting firm, helping the world's top businesses, governments and organizations. Looking for a new TMT Senior Researcher

This position will be reporting to the TMT Research Manager

Responsibilities

Strategic

• Drive and autonomously support client teams on medium to high complexity TMT
  requests for projects and proposals by leveraging internal and external subscriptions across the Strategy& network.
  
  
• Deliver on research service menu products, including benchmarking; company profiling; and financial analysis, industry baselining, and market trends.
  
  
• Develop an excellent understanding of all in house and external databases and guide the consultants for the availability of data in these databases.
  
  
• Extract and structure insights in an easy to read, client-ready format (presentations,
  financial models and/or other agreed upon formats).
  
  
• Adopt communication to stakeholder settings tailor messages to the audience and
  deliver targeted presentations.
  
  
• Serve as an embedded team member on client engagements to support select
  workstreams by taking full ownership of data requirements, research, synthesis, and final deliverables.
  
  
• Assign requests to junior or vendor team members. Monitor their output and ensure quality standards. Provide training and guidance on general and practise specific databases and research methodologies.
  
  
• Promote Research Hub value proposition in practice settings and discussions

Knowledge Management

• Innovate on and improve research services by creating new tools/products/knowledge to support client staff teams to work efficiently and extract relevant trends and insights.

• Partner with project and knowledge management teams to identify and address critical knowledge needs for projects and overall practice

• Support with creating reports/newsletters on new trends, new topics, regulations etc. highlighting the overall impact on practice.

• Become familiar with internal intellectual capital availability and work with topic
  specialists to create well-rounded research outputs.

Knowledge, skills and abilities
Qualifications

• University degree required; advanced degree in a business or engineering-related discipline preferred
• At least 3-5 years of relevant research or consulting experience, preferably in technology sectors (Enterprise ICT, AI, IoT, Cloud etc)
• Experience with financial modelling and story lining

Skills

• Experience with professional databases such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Factiva, Omdia, Telegeography or equivalents
• Significant personal presence, enabling successful interaction directly with senior consultants, clients, and knowledge professionals
• Well-articulated and presented and proactive self-starter
• Good problem solving skills and basic knowledge of consulting tools and frameworks
• Team player, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (candidates with Arabic language skills will be preferred)
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and identify trends from various data sets (structured and unstructured data)
• Ability to manage multiple data projects at a time
• Positive, lively, can-do attitude; a quick learner with the energy and enthusiasm to act and accomplish
