Move forward as TMS Application Engineer at DSV in Moerdijk or Venlo
Would you like to work at the intersection of logistics, IT, and operations within an international organisation that is constantly evolving? As a TMS application engineer at DSV, you will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on our daily transport operations in the Netherlands and Belgium. You ensure our systems run smoothly, processes are optimised, and users receive the best possible support.
You get it done
You play a key role in the management and further development of our Transport Management System (SCE). Thanks to your analytical mindset and accurate way of working, our transport processes remain efficient, stable, and future-proof: you’re on it.
How you do this? As a TMS application engineer, you are the key link between IT, operations, and our transport partners. You are responsible for the functional management, maintenance, and further optimisation of our Transport Management System (TMS/SCE), which supports our daily transport operations across the Netherlands and Belgium. Thanks to your analytical skills and precise way of working, systems continue to run reliably and processes remain fully aligned with operational needs. You are involved in analysing and resolving incidents, processing change requests, and carrying out functional configurations and testing. In doing so, you ensure disruptions are resolved quickly and users can rely on a well-functioning system.
In this role, you work closely with colleagues from operations, IT, and external carriers. You translate operational requirements and challenges into smart system solutions and actively contribute ideas for improvements within the TMS landscape. In addition, you monitor system performance, data quality, and the continuity of transport processes, while contributing to optimisation and standardisation initiatives across the organisation. No two days are the same: one moment you may be solving a complex system issue, while the next you are involved in testing and implementing new functionalities that directly impact our logistics operations. You achieve this by:
Your team stands out within DSV by its short communication lines, specialist expertise, and strong collaboration between IT and operations. You will join a small and committed TMS/SCE team within DSV Transport Solutions, where colleagues support one another, share knowledge, and continuously seek improvements in systems and processes together.
