BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY
Performs complex (journey-level) work in building maintenance repair and electrical equipment and circuits. Installs, replaces and maintains electrical systems, apparatus, components of machinery and equipment. Reports to the Civil Engineer Maintenance Supervisor and works under general supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Work Hours: Tuesday – Friday, 10-hour days, 40 hours/week

PHYSICAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed both inside and outside. When inside, incumbent is exposed to normal office temperatures and noise. When outside, incumbent will be required to work and exposed to seasonal inclement weather. Work typically involves standing, walking, and working with hand and power tools for extended periods of time. May lift, carry, move, and/or set up equipment and materials that weigh up to 40 pounds. Must be able to lift carry 50 lbs of field gear and able to perform fieldwork that sometimes involves walking long distances and exposure to potential hazards (heat, rain, insects, snakes, etc.).
