About Deloitte Financial Services Tax Team

Join Deloitte’s Financial Services Tax team - a dynamic, high-performing group of tax advisors, accountants, lawyers, and economists with broad experience from top professional practices and in-house roles both in Singapore and globally. Our team supports clients across the entire financial services sector, including Banking and Capital Markets, Investment Management, Real Estate, Insurance, and emerging areas such as Digital Assets.

We help clients navigate the full tax lifecycle: from advisory and fund structuring to global information reporting, tax compliance, due diligence, and tax disputes. Based in Singapore, our team often leads regional and global engagements, giving you the chance to work on complex, cross-border projects and cutting-edge challenges in financial services.

Your Impact as Director

• Own existing client relationships and actively cultivate new ones.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire your team, supporting their technical and operational development.
• Oversee and deliver complex tax advisory and compliance projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and successful client engagements.
• Advise clients on tax research and technical matters and lead workstreams on M&A transactions (including due diligence, structuring, and SPA support).
• Collaborate closely with partners, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding service.
• Monitor and anticipate the latest developments in the financial services sector and help shape new service offerings.
• Represent Deloitte as a trusted tax advisor and thought leader in the market.

What We’re Looking For / Requirements

• At least 12 years of corporate tax experience, preferably in a Big Four, an international accounting firm, law firm, or financial institution. Experience in both compliance and advisory is preferred.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Law, or another business-related field.
• CPA or CA certification strongly preferred
• SCTP accreditation is an added advantage.
• Deep expertise in one or more financial services subsectors: banking, capital markets, insurance, investment management, real estate, digital assets, or M&A tax.
• Proven leadership and client engagement skills, with the ability to manage multiple large projects and client portfolios simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong business acumen, commercial awareness, and sound judgment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and delegate to junior team members and build high-performing teams.
• Adaptability to change and a proactive approach to business and personal development.
