GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Performs advanced (senior level) human resources management work. Work involves designing and implementing a comprehensive internship program that supports the workforce development goals of the agency. Establishes program structure, policies, and procedures; collaborates with universities, and recruits’ interns. Works in coordination with human resources and other program areas to implement and maintain an active internship program.
Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per work week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Develop program guidelines, application processes, selection criteria, syllabus, and onboarding materials.
Provide resources and guidance to staff supervising interns, including training on mentorship, evaluation, and program expectations.
Coordinate placements across divisions to match intern skills and academic requirements with agency needs.
Establish program goals, timelines, and performance metrics to ensure effectiveness and alignment with agency priorities
Speak to community and professional groups to coordinate, improve, and stimulate interest in agency’s internship program and employment opportunities to secure support for program(s)
Establishes relationships with colleges, trade schools, universities, and community organizations to develop and administer intern program. Aides in the maintenance of these relationships and contractual obligations.

Performs all duties in compliance with agency safety policies and procedures:
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency attendance and leave policies.
Will be required to travel up to 50% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communication, Psychology, Education, Public Administration, or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in program coordination, development, and implementation.
OR
High School diploma or equivalent. Seven (7) years of full-time wage-earning experience program coordination, development, and implementation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
·Experience in managing an internship program in a university or agency setting.
Experience and Education Substitutions:
One year of appropriate experience may substitute for one year of college (30 course hours) on a year for year basis.
Completed course hours of undergraduate study may substitute for up to four years of experience on a basis of 30 course hours for one year of experience.
Completed course hours of graduate study may substitute for up to two years of experience on a basis of 12 graduate course hours for one year of experience.
Experience requirements may be satisfied by the prorated part-time equivalent.
Note:Any degree, diploma, high school equivalent, or course hours required to meet minimum qualifications must be from an accredited educational institution.
