MDK is looking for a Title Officer who is detail-oriented, analytical, and confident navigating complex real estate transactions. We’re seeking someone who takes pride in accuracy, communicates clearly, and enjoys solving problems that keep deals moving forward. The right candidate is proactive, comfortable interpreting title information, and committed to delivering precise, reliable results for clients.
In this role, you’ll manage title research, prepare title commitments and reports, and partner closely with escrow to identify and resolve title issues. Your work helps ensure transactions move forward smoothly while meeting lender, regulatory, and contractual requirements. Your Role in Action
Review and prepare foreclosure reports, title commitments, and related title products.
Interpret, analyze, and plot legal descriptions using tax and recorded maps.
Maintain title data, generate required documentation, and communicate results to clients.
Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, lender instructions, title standards, and company policies throughout the closing process.
Partner with escrow to identify and resolve title issues, including liens, vesting matters, easements, and boundary concerns.
Support the successful completion of real estate transactions by preparing accurate title documentation and coordinating with internal teams.
Prepare title searches, updates, and policies, and manage incoming orders as assigned.
Stay current on industry laws, regulations, and practices affecting title policy issuance.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of title operations.
QualificationsYour Background & Skills
High school diploma or GED required.
Three to five years of experience in the title industry, with experience in title production and closing.
State title agent license required, or ability to obtain licensure upon hire.
Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
