This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role at one of the most complex and dynamic Title IX environments in higher education.
UCLA receives one of the highest volumes of reports across the UC system, offering exposure to a wide range of cases in terms of scope, complexity, and subject matter. With a campus ecosystem that includes a major academic institution, multiple medical centers, and a large, diverse population, this role provides the kind of experience that significantly sharpens judgment and deepens expertise.
Another Source's client, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), is recruiting a Deputy Director, Title IX to join their team in Los Angeles, CA (UCLA campus). This is a hybrid role.
Here’s a little about UCLA:
UCLA is one of the world’s leading public research universities, consistently ranked among the top institutions globally. With a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff—and a footprint that includes a major academic campus, multiple medical centers, and an extensive health system—UCLA operates at a scale more comparable to a major city than a traditional university.
The UCLA Office of Civil Rights plays a critical role in fostering a campus environment rooted in equity, safety, and accountability. The office oversees compliance with federal and state civil rights laws and leads efforts to prevent and respond to discrimination, harassment, and retaliation across one of the most complex higher education ecosystems in the country.
About this role:
This is not a typical Title IX role. UCLA receives one of the highest volumes of reports across the UC system, offering an unmatched opportunity to work on a wide range of cases, from student matters to complex issues involving faculty, staff, and healthcare environments.
As Deputy Director, you’ll serve as a key partner to the Title IX Director, helping lead investigations, shape processes, and mentor staff. This role offers meaningful leadership exposure and the chance to build deep expertise in highly nuanced, high-impact cases.
For professionals looking to expand their scope and elevate their career trajectory, UCLA provides both the platform and the credibility. The breadth, complexity, and visibility of this work will significantly refine your skill set and position you for future advancement in the field.
