Job Description

Honolulu's newest sports bar & grill is seeking a skilled and passionate Kitchen Chef to join our team.

Nestled in the heart of Kakaako, Honolulu's most vibrant neighborhood, our restaurant has a unique concept, customers visit not only to relax with friends or watch live sports, but also to enjoy an omakase dinner at the sushi bar.

Responsibilities:

As a Kitchen Chef, you will handle all kitchen operations including prep work, cooking, plating, as well as management duties like inventory control and maintaining kitchen sanitation.

  • Handle all prep work and cooking
  • Assist in menu development and testing, contributing new ideas and techniques
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff
  • Maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards
  • Participate in inventory management and stock preparation

Position: Kitchen Chef

Employment Type: Full-time

Work Location: Honolulu, Hawaii

Hours: 40 hours per week (shift schedule including weekends and holidays)

Overtime: Generally, none

Pay and Benefits:

  • Compensation: $16-$22 per hour + tips (approx.10-20%)

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of culinary experience
  • Proven experience in all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and plating
  • Knowledge and practical experience in food hygiene and safety management
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills and etiquette
  • Valid Hawaii Food Handlers Card
  • Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Passion for cooking and a desire for continuous learning and growth in culinary skills
