Retail Communications Coordinator - Timberland
What will you do?
A day in the life of a Retail Communications Coordinator at Timberlandlooks a little like this: You will support the brand's communication strategies by creating and distributing content that aligns with our mission and values. Reporting to the Director of Retail Operations, this role will assist in enhancing brand visibility and engagement through various communication channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications and a passion for supporting retail stores.
Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
Develop and execute communication plans to support brand initiatives and campaigns.
Create and manage content for internal communication channels, including Yoobic content, emails, intranet sites, presentations, and directives.
Build partnerships and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
Monitor and analyze communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal campaigns and strategies.
Work cross-functionally to maintain and optimize all retail calendars (Stores, brand Ops, VF Ops).
Support Head of Stores as needed
Support Sr. Manager of Store Operations with special projects
Contribute to fostering a culture of continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and suggesting refinements to communication processes.
Prepare and present regular updates on communication activities and outcomes to the operations and brand retail leaders.
Process department expenses via Coupa.
Work with business partners to build the agenda for field leader & store calls.
Summarize & recap meeting/call content with & for field leader and store teams.
Creation, collection, and collation of field reports (field and customer surveys, store hours, store locator)
Execution of contests, recognition, and awards programs.
Brand Liaison for store supplies, with VF partner and vendor.
Location requirement: this is a hybrid position based out of our Stratham, NH (Timberland) office, with an expectation of being onsite three days per week.
What do you need to succeed?
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your three years of relevant professional experience or a degree in a related field combined with relevant experience.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
Ability to develop and execute communication strategies that increase brand awareness and engagement among internal audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with retail stores, field leaders, and cross-functional partners.
Ability to manage timelines and calendars to support effective retail operations.
Ability to craft clear, concise, and engaging written and visual content.
Ensures precision and accuracy in all communication materials and messaging.
Demonstrates ability to foster a culture of trust, transparency, and accountability within teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
There are also a few skills that are not required but preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience using tools to measure and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies.
Smartsheet experience.

Hiring Range
$62,400.00 USD - $78,000.00 USD annually
Incentive Potential This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
