Job Description

Take pride in your finish? We want you on our team.

Straight lines. Accurate falls. Clean cuts. A finish you’re proud to put your name to.

At Ascot Group, we’re looking for an experienced Tiler to deliver quality wall and floor tiling across retirement living villages. Your work will help create practical, welcoming spaces for residents, with a team that values workmanship, reliability and getting the details right.

The work

You’ll take ownership of your tiling from surface preparation through to final handover, working alongside our site supervisors, project managers and other trades.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Preparing and levelling surfaces, checking substrates and completing waterproofing preparation.
  • Setting out and installing wall and floor tiles to specifications and agreed layouts.
  • Cutting and fitting tiles around fixtures, corners and drains, ensuring correct falls in wet areas.
  • Completing grouting, silicone and finishing with care and attention to detail.
  • Identifying issues early, checking your completed work and carrying out any required rectifications.
  • Keeping your work area safe, clean and organised, particularly when working around residents.

What you’ll bring

You’re an experienced tiler who knows a quality finish starts well before the first tile is laid. You plan your work, communicate when something needs attention and follow through on what you’ve committed to.

We’re looking for:

  • A relevant trade qualification or demonstrated tiling experience.
  • Strong skills across preparation, set-out, installation and finishing.
  • An understanding of relevant Australian Standards and site safety requirements.
  • A current White Card and driver’s licence.
  • A respectful, professional approach when working in residents’ homes and shared spaces.
  • The ability to work independently and coordinate with the wider site team.

Why Ascot Group?

You’ll do work you can see the value in every day, improving spaces people call home. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their trade and wants to contribute to a team that cares about the finished result. Working in a stable and supportive company where all you worry about is your work.
