Job Description

We are looking to hire a Data Scientist to support the US L2L (Local to Local) Ops team, the largest business unit at US TikTok Shop responsible for executing category and vertical-specific strategies.

This role will play a key part in driving high-impact Data Science support for the organization, partnering closely with Ops leaders to inform strategy, improve execution, and scale data-driven decision-making across categories.

This role is also an opportunity to help shape the next phase of our Data Science organization, evolving towards an AI-first model, leveraging agentic systems and modern AI capabilities to transform how we operate and deliver impact.

What You'll Do

- Partner with US L2L (Local to Local) Ops leadership to drive data-informed strategy and execution across categories

- Lead and execute high-impact analyses to diagnose performance and unlock growth opportunities

- Build and scale analytical frameworks and data products to support operational decision-making

- Develop AI-enabled workflows and tools (e.g., LLM-powered, agentic systems) to improve efficiency and insight generation

- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders

- Identify opportunities to automate and scale DS support through AI and reusable solutions

- Collaborate closely with Data Engineering, Ops, and Platform teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

- Contribute to shaping best practices, standards, and ways of working for an AI DS organization
