Job Description

The TIE Engineer 1 will be an integral part of our Industrial Engineering team, working collaboratively with various departments to enhance our manufacturing operations. This role involves understanding and applying traditional TPS/IE concepts and tools to improve productivity and efficiency across the manufacturing process, from receiving products to shipment.

Responsibilities:

- Understanding and application of traditional TPS/IE concepts & tools in MFG environment.
- Conduct time / motion studies to improve productivity for direct and indirect areas
- Visualize initial condition with GAPs, set targets, identify strategy and schedule to accomplish targets
- Study operations of sequence, including conveyance flow, routes, start triggers, and standardized work in MFG& WH
- Production System Understanding (replenishment method, Production instruction) to pursue JIT
- Develop manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and facility utilization
- Budgetary of department expense and manpower annual planning
- Provide OJT training to related PR and indirect support groups on traditional TIE/TPS tools and application techniques
- Provide new line installation support and development of standardized work, lot size development, packaging support, PR System design, conveyance routes, as a basis for progressive kaizen

- Position requires a highly motivated individual with strong communication & project management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Word); AutoCAD preferred
- Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplined cross-functional team in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to successfully Multitask Projects & update plan vs. actual condition
- Willingness to work periodic overtime
- Possess and demonstrate excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think 'outside the box' and develop clever, unique solutions to problems
- Willingness to interface and collaborate with other departments to help reach overall Excellent Factory
- Demonstrate initiative by investigating outside own areas for given tasks and by helping others

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related technical field.

-0-3 years of related experience in manufacturing

  • Understand and implement production systems for just-in-time manufacturing.
  • Develop manufacturing methods, labor standards, and cost analysis systems.
  • Provide training and support for new line installations and standardized work practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in industrial engineering.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a preference for AutoCAD skills.
  • Strong project management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably with knowledge of TPS/IE concepts.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to finding solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, results-driven mindset.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or industry is preferred.
