Position Type: Part Time
Job Category: Live Production & Game Day ExperienceAs a Drummer with the Oklahoma City Thunder, you will play an important role in creating an electrifying atmosphere during all our home games. As part of the entertainment team, you will help enhance the fan experience at Paycom Center and represent the Thunder at community events, including school assemblies, court dedications, festivals, and watch parties.
In this role you will:
- Entertain, perform, and energize fans through music at Thunder games and events around the community
- Perform in front of audiences of all sizes, including 18,203 Thunder guests at home games
- Work in conjunction with other events and entertainment teams to complete appearances and performances as part of the in-game show, including initiating crowd chants and beats
- Uphold a positive personal reputation and serve as a brand ambassador, contributing to our mission of creating the most fan-centric organization in sports
- Perform other duties as assigned
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Experience playing a variety of percussion instruments, including marching drums, buckets, and similar equipment.
- Ability to read music is preferred but not required.
- Experience engaging and connecting with diverse audiences.
- Interest in performing in a professional sports and entertainment environment is a plus.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, live event environment.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Details:
This is a part-time position reporting to the Performance Team Manager. The work schedule and training include evenings, weekends, holidays, all home game nights, and scheduled community appearances. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age by 08/18/2026, possess a valid government-issued photo ID, maintain a clean driving record, and have reliable transportation. The work environment includes loud music, crowd noise, and flashing or strobe lights. Physical requirements include performing for extended periods and may include outdoor performances in varying weather conditions.
