The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Joplin, Missouri, is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at the new Assistant Store Manager. This is a full-time, 35 to 40 hours per week position with a starting pay of $16.50 per hour.
Our store is located at 402 E 7th Street, Joplin, MO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
High school/equivalent diploma and one-year related work experience or two years’ work experience without a diplomaAbility to comprehend written job s, cleaning instructions and material safety data sheetsMust be able to operate a cash register, make correct changes for items sold and be bondablePosition requires basic communication with customers and other employeesMust be a team player, a self-starter, and perform well with minimum supervision.
Physical and Working Conditions
Must be capable of performing the above essential dutiesCapable of continuously lifting 5 pounds, frequently lifting 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds and frequently moves 50 or more pounds using dolly/cart/truckMost work will be indoors. The display room is a temperature-controlled environment; however, the sorting/back room/storage area will be cold in the winter and hot in the summer.
