Your role and work environment

You will be an Operational Resilience (OpRes) and Third & Intragroup Party Management (TIPM) Expert within Framework & Operations team within one of ING’s most strategically important Centres of Expertise in Operational Design, Control & Resilience (ODCR). The role operates at the intersection of Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, and Third‑Party & Intragroup Risk Management (TIPM). This role is central to delivering ING’s ambition to build safe, secure, efficient, and futureproof operations, fully aligned with the COO and ING strategy.

As an expert, you play a key role in designing, enhancing, and operationalizing integrated Framework & Operations capabilities for Operational Resilience & TIPM across ING globally.

Roles and Responsibilities

Framework Design & Expertise

  • Provide subject matter expertise on Operational Resilience, Business Continuity and TIPM frameworks, including control standards and procedures
  • Contribute to the design, maintenance and continuous improvement of integrated OpRes & TIPM frameworks
  • Translate regulatory requirements (e.g. DORA, outsourcing guidelines) into practical, implementable framework components
  • Support development of guidance, templates and methodologies to ensure consistent implementation

Framework & Operations Integration

  • Contribute to building and evolving integrated Framework & Operations capabilities across OpRes & TIPM
  • Ensure alignment between framework design and execution practices across entities and HUBs
  • Support embedding of frameworks into end-to-end operational processes and ways of working
  • Act as a bridge between framework owners, HUB delivery teams and country stakeholders

Advisory & Stakeholder Support

  • Provide high-quality advisory to countries, HUBs and global stakeholders on OpRes & TIPM topics
  • Support locations with:
    • Interpretation of framework requirements
    • Data quality topics and control implementation
    • Resolution of complex framework-related questions
  • Actively contribute to community management, including knowledge sharing

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement of framework usability, efficiency and consistency
  • Identify gaps and opportunities to enhance frameworks, processes and controls
  • Contribute to standardization and simplification efforts across OpRes & TIPM
  • Support adoption of tooling, automation and data-driven approaches

Regulatory & Strategic Alignment

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory landscape and industry best practices related to OpRes & TIPM
  • Ensure frameworks are aligned with ING risk appetite, policies and external expectations
  • Contribute to future vision and strategy for Framework & Operations within ODCR

Who are we looking for

  • Strong background in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, TIPM / Third‑Party Risk, and related NFR domains
  • Proven experience in risk and control management, framework design/ implementation
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, multi‑country stakeholder landscapes
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical solutions
  • Strong analytical mindset with focus on quality, consistency and simplification
  • Expert advisory mindset, becoming trusted partner for stakeholders
  • Pro-active and improvement driven, actively identifying and implementing enhancements
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong communicator, able to explain complex topics clearly

Wage (gross)

  • 3 443 EUR/month

  • *By legal requirement we are providing the information about the basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised position. Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.
