Job Description

Metrology Tool Owners are responsible for the technical ownership and optimization of critical measurement equipment in Intel's semiconductor manufacturing processes. These tools are a key component of delivering world class yields for our customers.

As part of your role, you will work in the Thin Film Metrology area within a cross functional team, owning multiple metrology toolsets. In this role, key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze equipment and process performance using data-driven and statistical methods, identify trends and outliers, and drive corrective actions to reduce variation.
  • Continuously improve tool performance and optimize recipes through sustaining and innovation activities.
  • Work directly with Integration and vendors to develop metrology recipes for new layers to improve inline visibility to potential EOL issues.
  • Lead equipment improvement initiatives with cross-functional teams which will enhance the operational performance. Identify innovative solutions to equipment challenges and influence required stakeholders to drive change.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

  • Level 8 degree (NFQ) or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD), such as Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics, Nanotechnology, Mathematics, or related fields
  • 4+ years of experience in an equipment engineering environment or similar industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with hands-on experience in equipment troubleshooting
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with a high level of ownership and comfort with ambiguity
  • Strong data analysis capabilities, including data extraction, validation, statistical analysis, and visualization (e.g., JMP or similar tools)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information
  • Strong teamwork skills and experience working in cross-functional and multicultural teams

Preferred Requirements

  • Background or hands-on experience in optics
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related high-tech industries
  • Familiarity with scatterometry and OCD model development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with XRF, AFM and TEM would be highly beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tools or activities simultaneously

Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience in semiconductor manufacturing or other similar industry.

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.

Annual Salary Range for this job which could be performed in Ireland is: € 59.200,00 - € 111.300,00 The compensation range displayed in this posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for this position. Within this range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience, and relevant education, training. As part of our total compensation approach, the final offer may include additional pay components and benefits. Your recruiting team will share the confirmed base salary along with any applicable total compensation elements upon employment offer delivery.

Work Model for this Role
