Stripping / Thermal Spray Operator (3rd Shift)

  • Independently read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and technical data to determine tooling requirements and setup procedures.
  • Perform stripping and coating operations while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain specialized equipment used in chemical stripping and thermal spray processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and preset all tools for stripping and coating operations and perform safety checks.
  • Load and unload parts into chemical tanks and monitor stripping processes.
  • Mask parts internally and externally using designated methods.
  • Verify setup meets quality specifications including sizes, depths, and tolerances.
  • Install, align, and secure tooling and parts on equipment.
  • Operate machinery, input control data, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Monitor operations, detect malfunctions, and adjust controls.
  • Inspect and measure parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Record production and operational data.
  • Handle hazardous materials and waste in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Perform equipment cleaning and preventative maintenance.
  • Support safety policies, teamwork, and communication expectations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold integrity standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; or minimum three (3) years related experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Basic mathematical skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work with standardized processes.
  • Ability to stand, bend, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfort working with mechanical equipment, chemicals, and in loud environments.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including overtime and weekends.
