The Thermal & Performance Validation Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end planning, coordination, execution, and reporting of vehicle-level testing activities focused on thermal management systems and drive performance. This role ensures thorough and representative validation is conducted in accordance with the Design Verification Plan (DVP), enabling robust data-driven assessments to support vehicle development milestones.
Lead all activities related to
thermal management
and
vehicle drive performance testing
, ensuring timely and high-quality validation in accordance with DVP requirements.
Oversee
both subjective and objective evaluations
, ensuring testing meets performance targets and regulatory standards.
Ensure the
vehicle preparation
status (hardware/software) is validated and aligned with required specifications by coordinating with Module Maturity Leaders (MMLs), Attribute Engineers, and Test & Validation teams.
Ensure
testing protocols and procedures
are correctly selected and implemented for each specific test objective, aligned with internal validation processes and industry best practices.
Monitor execution timelines and test quality, whether in internal labs or with external suppliers.
Lead the
data processing and technical analysis
of test results, transforming raw data into actionable insights.
Develop and deliver
comprehensive test reports
that include key findings, risks, conclusions, and technical recommendations for issue resolution or design improvements.
Track and manage the execution of validation activities conducted by
external testing partners or facilities
, ensuring alignment with internal requirements and timelines.
Maintain close communication with suppliers to resolve any test-related technical or logistical challenges.
Manage and maintain testing-related issue logs in the
JIRA system
, ensuring accurate documentation of all issues identified during testing phases.
Collaborate with engineering, software, and design teams to
analyze root causes
and develop appropriate corrective actions to close the loop on issues efficiently.
Education/ Professional knowledge:
Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer or equivalent work experience (5+ years) with solid knowledge in Electric Vehicles and Automotive Validation.
