Your Job

We are seeking an Engineering Manager – Thermal & High-Power Systems who brings deep thermal engineering expertise along with the ability to build, inspire, and lead high-performing simulation teams. In this role, you will drive cutting-edge thermal and high-power simulation programs across data center, liquid cooling, and advanced connectivity applications, enabling Molex’s transition toward Virtual Product Qualification (VPQ). You will combine technical authority with strong people leadership to deliver impactful, simulation-driven outcomes at scale.

Our Team

You will join the Multiphysics Simulation Group within Global Engineering Services (GES), based at the Global Technology Center in Bengaluru. This team partners with global business units to solve complex engineering challenges through advanced simulation across thermal, CFD, structural, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC domains, with a strong focus on data center and high-power applications.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and develop a specialized team of thermal and multiphysics simulation engineers, fostering technical excellence, curiosity, and ownership
  • Drive high-impact simulation programs focused on liquid cooling, airflow, and high-power connector thermal performance across global product lines
  • Provide technical leadership by reviewing methodologies, ensuring physics fidelity, and guiding simulation strategy for complex thermal challenges
  • Establish strong program governance, balancing rigor, speed, and stakeholder expectations across multi-quarter initiatives
  • Partner with global product, systems, and test teams to integrate simulation into product development and qualification processes
  • Champion innovation in thermal simulation, including surrogate modeling, digital twins, and advanced cooling technologies
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and act as the technical face of thermal simulation capabilities across business units
  • Communicate the business value of simulation through cost avoidance, accelerated qualification, and risk reduction

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Sciences, Heat Transfer, or a related field
  • 10+ years of engineering experience, including at least 4 years leading engineering teams or technical programs
  • Deep expertise in thermal and CFD simulation, including conjugate heat transfer and thermal resistance modeling
  • Experience working with high-power or data center thermal systems such as liquid cooling, heat exchangers, or connector thermal management
  • Proven ability to manage complex engineering programs and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience with data center technologies such as OSFP, QSFP, co-packaged optics, or rack-level thermal management
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ASHRAE, OCP, JEDEC) related to thermal and high-power systems
  • Exposure to digital twin development, reduced-order modeling, or AI/ML-based simulation approaches
  • MBA or formal leadership/management training
  • Understanding of Principle-Based Management (PBM®) or similar value-driven leadership frameworks
