Therapy Services Manager

Department: Allied Health Professionals and Psychology

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Priory Hospital Bristol

Compensation: £55,000 / year


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Therapy Services Manager (TSM) to lead and develop our therapy provision across Priory Hospital Bristol and Bristol Park Clinic 37.5 hours per week (additional stipend payable for BPC responsibilities).

Reporting to the Hospital Director, the TSM is a key member of the Senior Management Team with full accountability for inpatient and day care therapy services. This role is integral to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while driving service performance, innovation, and growth.

What you'll be doing

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to therapy services across both sites
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, compliant services that meet regulatory standards and KPI targets (including referrals, customer service, and time to first appointment)
  • Lead clinical governance, quality assurance, and continuous service improvement
  • Manage and develop a multidisciplinary therapy team, fostering strong collaboration across clinical services
  • Oversee financial performance, budgets, and resource planning, proactively addressing risks and opportunities
  • Drive business development and service growth, maintaining strong occupancy/caseload levels
  • Maintain a small clinical caseload and support therapy delivery where required
  • Build external partnerships (e.g. universities) to support recruitment and service profile
  • Support workforce development, supervision, and CPD across the team
  • Contribute to on-call rota and wider senior management responsibilities

What you'll bring to the role

Essential:
A strong understanding of statutory regulations, with a passion for delivering high-quality care and continuous improvement. Proven leadership and decision-making skills are essential, alongside a proactive, forward-thinking and creative approach. Candidates must demonstrate sound commercial awareness in managing team cost and income performance, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of integrity and professional boundaries.

Desirable:
A recognised post-registration qualification, professional accreditation or membership, and a clear commitment to ongoing continuous professional development (CPD).
