
Position Title:Therapy Scheduler - Inpatient

As an Inpatient Therapy Scheduler, you will help to ensure that REHAB patients and their families receive caring and dedicated service at REHAB. You will support our Therapy Department and assist with a variety of services, including scheduling patients for various inpatient therapy services and assuring the required patient therapy hours are provided. Coordinates inpatient resources for timely continuum of care and reduces patients’ scheduling conflicts, changes, and cancellations/no-show between all disciplines. Integrates with inpatient therapists, physicians, Clinical Care Coordinators (CCC’s), nurses, nursing unit secretaries, and dietary staff in order to provide timely services for patients and complete required documentation. With a commitment to delivering high-quality, comprehensive and innovative inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.
Wage Range: $17.78 per hour to $26.67 per hour
The actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on a variety of factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.

High school graduate or equivalent.
Skills/Experience:
At least one (1) year experience in a healthcare setting.
Basic computer knowledge.

Skills/Experience:
Familiarity with rehabilitation, and/or healthcare front office.
Two (2) or more years work experience in healthcare.
Previous experience in scheduling and customer service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Collaborate with therapists, information desk staff, and clinic leadership to ensure timely scheduling of patients’ appointments
Provide timely response to internal and external customers regarding scheduling questions, concerns and comments in order to improve efficiency in the patient's continuum of care.
Work in conjunction with outpatient personnel to schedule and provide float and clinical staff as needed when available
Monitor daily the therapists’ schedule for open slots to ensure each therapist is scheduled to meet productivity goals.
Maintain communication with treating therapist to ensure patients’ schedules are consistent with patients’ needs.
Demonstrate flexibility with work schedule to support the needs of REHAB.
Collaborate with therapists and other team members regarding all schedule changes due to medical reasons, patient needs, staff sick calls/absences, add-on admissions and modifications.
Obtain weekly staffing sheet of therapists’ schedules and any therapists’ requests for the next day (i.e. unexpected home visits/assessments, family conferences, CETS, community re-entry activities, goal sets, meetings, projects) and individual therapists’ status (modified duty, no infectious patient treatment) and incorporates activities into the therapy schedule.
Review therapy schedules for accuracy prior to posting in the patient care units and in the therapy clinics.
Assures that all patients are scheduled to meet the therapy minutes required.
Uses sound judgment and ensures patient safety.
Follows and adheres to all organizational and departmental policies and guidelines, code of conduct, and REHAB employee handbook.
Performs other duties as assigned.
