estara is seeking a Therapy Assistant to join our Spinal & Specialised Disability Support (SSDS) team, providing high-quality allied health support that helps clients achieve their goals, build independence, and participate in the things that matter most to them.

Your Role

In this part-time role you will work under the direction and supervision of estara Allied Health clinicians to support the delivery of effective therapy interventions across clinical and community settings.

You will:

  • Support clients to achieve their functional goals through individual and group-based therapy activities, including exercise programs and functional training
  • Implement prescribed therapy programs and assist clinicians to deliver safe, effective and person-centred interventions
  • Assist with client assessments, functional measurements, outcome data collection and therapy program reviews
  • Support equipment and assistive technology trials, including coordination with suppliers and maintaining accurate records
  • Provide support during client appointments, including home visits and regional service delivery where required
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to high-quality service delivery
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with clients, families and support networks

About you

You are a compassionate and proactive team member who enjoys working collaboratively and supporting people to achieve their goals.

You bring:

  • A relevant qualification in Allied Health Assistance, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated clinical experience
  • Experience working in a clinical, community or disability support setting
  • The ability to follow clinical direction and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of people
  • The ability to work autonomously, use sound judgement and seek guidance when required
  • A calm, empathetic and solutions-focused approach when supporting clients

Experience working with people with spinal cord injury, neurological conditions, physical disability or within the disability sector will be highly regarded.

Special Conditions:

  • Valid full South Australia driver’s licence
  • DHS Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening and any relevant Screenings as stipulated by DHS/NDIS with at least 6 months’ validity
  • Intrastate travel and work outside of normal business hours as required
